SCCA Drifting in Fort Wayne, Indiana?
This past weekend was a first… some of Fort Waynes best got to put on a small drift demo at lunch during the SCCA Auburn Kruse International Event May 2 2010. Id like to say it was sunny and 70 degrees but it was shitty.. real shitty.. rain sprinkled and the sun didnt make an appearance until half the day was over. On a better note Derek Bianski, Caleb Nichols, Derek King and Austin Barron all got sideways in the massive SCCA course. Minus a few killed cones and a dead bird on Dereks car all went well. We look forward to a Saturday SCCA Drifting session without tandem (until we can figure out safety) The course will actually be setup for Drift which will be great compared to the demo. This will give people around Fort Wayne Indiana a safe and professional area to practice drifting. Its unfortunate that like other sports we are unable to practice with out getting in trouble…
SO this gives everyone a good reason to support some drift action Saturdays before a SCCA event thats held at the same lot on Sunday. Austin Barron and Caleb Nichols where both reping Neukin which had a small table and tent setup for those interested in some hardcore fabrication. Austin Barron which is also sponsored by Napa and DRIFTclutch.com demoed great tossing his front and rear bumper at cones. Those pesky covers never stay on. I should also note Chuck Mcmillion got the fastest time of the day even with the rain and damp course. His dedication and skills show. He races the black Subaru Sti… he races on some great products by Turn In Concepts and Partially sponsored by Neukin. ![]()
